The Oniru of Iruland, Oba Abdulwasiu Lawal, has felicitated the people of Lagos State, especially the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and residents of Iru Kingdom on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
Lawal in a statement on Wednesday noted that Eid-el-Kabir was a reminder that perseverance and diligence would always come with rewards.
He said, “I felicitate with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and all the entire people of Lagos State, particularly the good people of Iru Kingdom.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Kabir this year, I join Muslim faithful across the country to share in the felicity of this Ileya festival.
“The Eid-el-Adha comes with significant lessons for mankind. It is a symbolic Islamic festival that is a constant reminder to us that, there will always be great rewards when we have long-lasting faith and perseverance in trying periods; diligence in prayers and tenacity in our belief.”
Lawal also expressed his commitment to the implementation of ‘Let’s Grow Iru Land Together,’ an initiative for procuring pragmatic solutions to the challenges facing Iru community.
“It is heart-warming that the initiative has been a rallying point, as well as a clarion call to all and sundry to work to grow Iru land into one of the most desirable communities in Lagos,” he added.
